Privacy policy

A-1Who we are

Blinco Technologies is an Australian software business ("Blinco", "we", "us"). We take the obligations in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) as our baseline for handling personal information, whether or not every obligation technically applies to a business of our size. A-2What this website collects

As little as we could manage:

• No cookies. This site sets none: no tracking cookies, no session cookies, and no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
• No analytics. We do not run Google Analytics or any equivalent. We do not know who you are.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (IP address, request time, pages fetched) for security and operations, retained briefly and reviewed only when something breaks or someone attacks the site.
• Fonts. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google's servers and Google receives the technical details of that request (such as your IP address). Self-hosting the fonts is planned.

A-3What we collect when you contact us

If you email us we receive what you send: your address, your name if you sign it, and the contents. We use it to reply, to scope and deliver work you ask about, and to keep a record of what was discussed and agreed. We do not add you to marketing lists; we do not send sequences; there is no newsletter.

A-4Client and project data

Building operational systems means handling our clients' business data, which can include personal information about their staff, customers and suppliers (for example payroll records or job contact details). For that data:

• The project agreement governs. Each engagement's written scope and terms control what we access, why, and for how long. We access the minimum needed to do the work.
• Confidentiality is absolute. Client data is never sold, never shared beyond the engagement, and never disclosed except as the agreement allows or the law requires.
• No AI training, ever. Client data is not used to train, fine-tune or improve any AI model, ours or anyone else's. Where a build uses an AI service on the client's own data, it runs under the client's account and terms, stated in the scope document.
• Systems belong to clients. What we build runs on the client's infrastructure under their credentials, so the data's ongoing custodian is its owner, not us.

A-5Storage and overseas disclosure

Our email, code hosting and infrastructure providers are reputable commercial services whose servers may be located outside Australia (commonly the United States). Sending us an email or engaging us means that correspondence and project materials may be stored with such providers. We choose providers with serious security practices and protect access with strong authentication.

A-6Security

Proportionate and taken seriously: unique credentials, multi-factor authentication, encrypted transport, least-privilege access to client systems, and prompt revocation when an engagement ends. No system is unbreachable and we will not pretend otherwise; if a breach ever created likely serious harm we would notify affected people and the OAIC as the notifiable data breaches scheme requires.

A-7Access, correction and complaints

Want to know what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted? Email hello@blinco.tech and it will be handled by a person, promptly. If you believe we have mishandled your personal information and our answer does not resolve it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

A-8Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date. Given the site collects almost nothing, changes should be rare.
